Tarik’s career in finance began at Capital International, for whom he spent 12.5 years in the Geneva operation. He held various positions in trade administration and trade settlements. He knew of bridport through two ex-Capital colleagues, Farshad Moussapour and Fabrizio Conti, and joined the team in the early summer 2010. “Its real attraction is that the company is relatively small, successful and privately owned. This allows for a good atmosphere and proper focus on the quality of service and the results that follow.” His particular focus is on the back office operation. “Our immediate challenge is to continue to improve as the company continues to grow. To look at what works well and define appropriate tools and operations where we underperform. We should be creative where we can. The team is relatively young. I will be looking to give them a sense of ownership.” Leisure time used to be spent playing basketball at a high-level. But after 15 years, it was time to stop. “I miss it, but I now enjoy being a spectator.”

Nicolas Genoud

Nicolas joined bridport from University as a general support at the settlements desk of the back office. He had graduated from Geneva University with a degree in Economics, where his thesis focused on economic aspects of green technologies and carbon trading schemes, and his stay included an internship at the fund of hedge fund company, EIM S.A. He is currently studying the CFA program. Outside of the office, Nicolas is a keen sportsman on skis in the winter, on his cycle all year around and competing at a local and national level on the golf course throughout the spring and summer months.

Arnaud Liria

Arnaud is French, and is responsible for Euroclear within bridport’s Geneva-based back-office team. Previously he had worked in Lyon in the commercial sector before moving into finance with Degroof Bank in Geneva, where he was in portfolio management. He doesn’t regret the switch from commerce to finance. “I very much enjoy being in this industry with bridport – it’s a dynamic environment and I get to learn something new every day.” Life is equally dynamic away from the office for this enthusiast of extreme sports, be it skiing, cycling or climbing. He’s reached the summit of Mont Blanc several times and discovered something new on each expedition. Plans are now underway to conquer Mount Kilimanjaro Africa. “I’m very active, but when I need to relax, I read.”

Flore Rochat

Flore recently joined the back office team at bridport. She was born and brought up in and around the Geneva region and has previously worked with UBS, Banque Audi and in currency settlements at EFG Bank. She has settled in quickly at bridport and particularly enjoys the office ‘ambiance’…it’s intense but pleasant. There’s a really good team spirit and a strong sense of unity. Out of the office, she and her husband are big motorsport fans, especially of the BMW team. But in quieter moments she likes to practice classical dance.
