Thierry joined bridport straight from university, back in March 1998. He was hired to manage the content of the company’s proprietary research tool, KEOX. From there he moved to the trading desk before assuming full responsibility for his clients in the sales function. After eight and a half years, he joined BCGE for an advisory role in fixed income, trading, running a book and marketmaking, and rejoined bridport in the summer of 2009 as head of its expanding trading operation. He’s noticed the difference in the 3 years that he was away. “It has grown up, in a positive way…it’s no longer the small boutique that I left. The family atmosphere is still here, but we’re almost twice the size.” Thierry also sits on the regional committee of ICMA, as a local board member, and when he’s not helping out in the family vineyard in the Valais can be found indulging in his other great passion, diving. “It helps to give me a new perspective on things.”

Angelo Dell’Aquila

Angelo joined bridport in November 2005, working in the Back Office, he has now moved over to the "desk" as an assistant trader where he sees his future. "What's important is the ambience here. The people are kind and friendly and for me it's a pleasure to come to work." Though not related to his name, Angelo worked as an apprentice at Dell Computers in Geneva. He is an official 'Alfista' and drives a Alfa Romeo 147, not surprising considering his Italian background. He also plays football for FC Satigny and follows his beloved Juventus from afar.

Sylvie Fernandes

Sylvie joined bridport in January 2006, working in the Back Office in Domestic Settlements. She has now moved over to the front-office as a trader in charge of Swissquote. "Bridport is a family; a smallish team that makes you feel at home, with the possibility to grow your role thanks to the help, input and advice of colleagues." Prior to her role at bridport, Sylvie worked in three different departments for CIA. She plays football for FC Acacias Féminin. When she doesn't play football, she sings. Her weekends and holidays are spent to travel around the world.

Daniella Stojanovic

Daniella has both travel and bridport in her blood. In the summer of 2009 she re-joined the company…for the second time. She started in 2004 before then leaving to travel to Australia. Less than a year later she was back and worked in the execution team, dealing primarily in emerging markets and convertibles. In 2007 she went off to South America (to learn Spanish) and then spent a year in London before returning a second time in the summer of 2009. “It’s like coming home”, she says. “But the company has grown - most of the old faces are still here, but they’ve been joined by many new ones too.” She’s back at the desk, trading in emerging markets and the dollar block. Her travels mean that she now speaks English, French, Italian and Spanish when needed and she’s been able to experience a wide variety of different cultures along the way.
