Previously in charge of the IT department, Thierry’s current role is as the Head of Operations for bridport. In addition to his previous IT responsibilities, this now encompasses the Back-Office and Keox groups. All operational aspects, which have become increasingly important as the company has grown, now rest on his shoulders. He relishes the challenge. “We have a critical role to play at the heart of the company, and a lot of work to do. But I know that I can rely on teams of dedicated and highly skilled people, and fortunately the atmosphere remains open and friendly.” Thierry studied as a Software Engineer and more recently was awarded a MBA from the University of Geneva. He’s another one who likes to get behind the camera, and with family links to Burgundy and Bordeaux Thierry is no stranger to the delights of a fine wine.

Giuliano Crovetto

As bridport’s IT System Manager, Giuliano manages the network in Geneva, Jersey and Zurich. He is responsible for ensuring network security and maintaining all the hardware and software across the entire company. “Everybody is very focused at the company. We all know our roles and each person ensures that they live up to a set of very high expectations.” Earlier in his career Giuliano worked as an IT Assistant at Citibank and studied at the University of Geneva, prior to that. In his spare time, Giuliano plays tennis and spends time managing his very own network of wife and two children.

Sébastien Hurel

Sébastien is French. Born in Chambéry, he has also lived in Paris and Montreal before coming back to the Haute-Savoie region. He studied at the University of Annecy and then completed long-term trainee internships, most recently with the 'Médecine du Travail' organization in Lyon. At bridport he is a System Engineer, providing general support of the IT systems that operate in the Geneva, Zurich and Jersey offices. "I had a good impression about the company before I even joined, by reading the profiles of the employees. They are a good indication of how it is... a great team spirit, very professional, and it has been easy to settle in. I'm also happy to be part of an internationally focused company and am particularly looking forward too to practising my English." Studies have limited the amount of time that he has spent skiing over the past 3 years, but he's looking forward to getting back onto the slopes soon.

Sonia Conticchio

Sonia is an IT Software Developer for bridport, developing technical software solutions for the company. "I enjoy this new experience at bridport. Working in a smaller company is an opportunity to work more closely with users to address their needs, in a dynamic and reactive environment." She studied at the University of Grenoble in France, where she gained a degree in Industrial Computer Science. Since then she has worked for various companies in fields as varied as Avionics, Telecom and Business, in France and in the UK. Out of the office Sonia loves hiking with her friends to the top of mountains, whatever the season, and observing wild fauna. She also likes backpacking abroad to discover new cultures.

Pierre Caboche

Pierre is an IT Software Developer for bridport, developing technical software solutions for the company, particularly with regard to the database function. “Because we are such a compact team, each person is given real responsibilities and there is more freedom to explore the right solutions than in a big corporation.” Pierre studied at the University of Besançon, in France, where he gained a degree in Computer Science and a Masters in Software Engineering. Always one to share his technical capabilities, Pierre has written many articles on computer science and inhabits cyberspace regularly, mainly on forums that focus on programming and software development.

Stéphane Escat

Stéphane is part of the IT team at bridport in Geneva. Although French by birth, and having spent his college days in Grenoble, much of Stéphane’s early career was in Ireland. He worked in IT software development for over 13 years, based in Dublin. His wife is Irish and his three children were born there. In 2007, the family then moved back to the Haute-Savoie, and Stéphane worked as a consultant for an IT service provider, where he spent a couple of years with various clients in the Suisse Romande region. He moved over to the finance sector in the summer of 2009, when taking up his current position at bridport. Here he is involved in ‘everything-IT’, particularly Keox. Weekends are ‘en famille’, and now that he’s back closer to the mountains, winters are for skiing, although he has now become an avid follower of rugby…as seen through Irish eyes!
