Giuseppe is a Managing Partner of bridport, managing the day-to-day operations of the Geneva office. He also oversees several of the company’s key accounts. “We’re a ‘boutique’ company – small, close to our clients, fast on our feet. We listen to them and offer custom-driven solutions and services.” He began his career with an apprenticeship at UBS, and then moved to their settlement department. Giuseppe joined bridport in 1993 in the Back Office and moved through the execution desk, became head of trading and then moved to the front desk. Outside of the business his focus is his family, and he loves to spend time with them in the sun, and in the mountains. Football is also a great passion, he is, after all, Italian, and he still plays but claims that he’s not quite the force that he used to be.

Xavier is a Senior Vice-President of bridport managing a portfolio of clients, handling their fixed income investments. “We take a friendly attitude to our work: firstly amongst each of us, and then on with our clients. I know many of the Christian names of the kids of my clients. He Joined bridport from Great Pacific Capital back in 1991 at the very outset of the company, working in the Back Office before migrating to the desk. All his training in trading and sales has been with bridport. An athletic type, Xavier is the President of his local boxing club and has run seven marathons in his time, three in Lausanne, as well as New York, Florence, Berlin and Monaco.

Angela is a Senior Vice-President of bridport and responsible for the Zurich office, where she started in October 2007. "Building up a new service operation center is my personal challenge and I'm happy to be a part of the highly motivated and professional team. The Financial Industry has been computerized step-by-step since I started my career in 1987, but I still want to be seen as an independent solution provider and serve clients individually". Formerly Angela worked at ABN in various positions, where her skills in fixed income, derivate, alternative and structured products were developed. Most recently, she worked as a Senior Sales Manager covering Fund managers, institutional and retail clients. Originally Dutch, it's understandable that her passion is sailing. "Sailing is like being in the Market - Teamwork is the key driver, if you are in a regatta preparation is all-important, and if you find yourself in a storm, just stay cool until it passes over".

Frédéric is a Senior Vice-President of the company, handling clients as well as managing the relationship with Swissquote, Switzerland’s largest online bank. "What we do best is offer a superior service – better than any other I’ve come across. Speed, availability, and market information is what we deliver in critical timeframes and KEOX is a unique tool in this regard". He joined bridport from Banque von Ernst, where he was responsible for asset allocation. Previously he had worked in Swiss Franc fixed income trading at Swiss Bank Corporation and moved to Samuel Montagu, specializing in grey market trading. His cultural hobbies include cinema, the theatre and art.

Sandrine is a Vice-President, and joined bridport at the very beginning, in 1991, from Unigestion, where she was an assistant in fixed income for institutional investors. Her primary responsibility is in the continued development of Keox, the company’s proprietary portfolio management and analysis system. She also supports the sales operation. “Our strength is that as a relatively small, unified team we can be focused and dedicated to the highest levels of client service. We all know each other’s clients and can cover when necessary”. After many years of competing at curling at international level, Sandrine now spends sporting time on the golf course, but you will more likely find her catering to the needs of her young son. She works in the office in the mornings and through lunch on a daily basis, before heading home to look after family. A balance between work and life that suits her perfectly..

Fabrizio is currently working in sales, although he previously worked for bridport from 2001 to 2003 as a trader. His main activity consists in facilitating his colleagues' day-to-day business interactions. "What I really like at bridport is the down-to-earth attitude towards clients as well as the friendly atmosphere". Fabrizio started out as an apprentice at the Société de Banque Suisse and went on to work in the middle-office at SBC Securities Ltd (Eurobonds market maker) and later on as a Forex trader for Capital International in Geneva.

Orlando joined bridport in August 2003 where he first worked as a Back-officer, then as a trader. Since August 2009, he is part of the fixed incomes sales team. "At bridport, I feel you learn something new everyday. It’s a very 'open' work environment, with a culture that promotes innovation." Orlando did an apprenticeship at UBS Geneva for three years, studying maturities. Out of the office, he loves to travel to discover different cultures around the world. Different sports are also a great passion, playing tennis, football and skiing whenever possible.

Marco came to bridport Geneva from fixed income sales at Banco Profilo in Milan, where he had spent 4 years. He had begun his financial career in London having stayed on there after studies, following his graduation from Genoa University. But Geneva has always appealed to him, especially now with a young family. “London was great for the bachelor life, but we have a small daughter so we’re looking forward to discovering the different atmosphere of Geneva and benefitting from all the outdoor activities available nearby.” Marco had already worked with bridport whilst at Banco Profilo so knew several of the members of Geneva office, in particular its Italian focused team. He’ll no doubt actively participate in the Monday morning discussions about the weekend’s results from the Calcio. His team? Juventus, of course.

After a three-year apprenticeship with UBS, Johan decided to leave Geneva to go to Australia to work on his English. Nine months later he was back and spent the next 3 years with Barclays. Having passed his 'maitrise fédérale' he decided that broking rather than private banking was more interesting and he became a sales assistant in equities broking at the National Bank of Canada. After a year away in 2008, spent travelling in the Far East and beyond, he returned once again to Geneva and switched from equity-broking to bond-broking by joining bridport. "I particularly enjoy working within an operation that comes up with, and reacts quickly to new ideas. Our size allows that and the atmosphere within the company encourages it."

Alain is new to bridport, having joined the company's Zurich operation as junior sales in the summer of 2009. His to-date 5-year career in the finance industry has included spells at PostFinance, working at the online brokerage desk for equity trading, and with Pictet Portfolio Management in Zurich. His first impressions of the company are very positive. "There's a good family atmosphere, but it's also very performance driven, straightforward and not over-complicated in its operation. We're small but growing in Zurich, with exciting ambitions. But it's important to have a day-to-day contact with the Geneva-base, so I like to visit on a regular basis." Out of the office he, like many of his colleagues, gets away from it all on either the football field or the golf course.

Frédéric started his career at Andersen Consulting in 1990 before moving over to financial markets with CCBP in 1995 and then Deutsche Bank in 1999. Since 2003 he was in Fixed Income Credit Sales with Morgan Stanley in London and then moved to the Paris Office, looking after French and Belgian clients. He moved to Geneva to join bridport. "I was particularly struck by the company's focus on the advisory and quality service that it provides to its clients. I also very much appreciate its human dimension - it has a young, dynamic structure with a good ambiance". Outside the office, he has a passion for tennis, giant and slalom skiing and scuba diving in tropical seas. Geneva appeals, too, with its unique surroundings where he can enjoy its quality of life with his wife and young daughter.

Much of Jens’ pre-bridport career was spent with Dresdener Bank, where over a 15-year career he had spells in Frankfurt, Madrid and Tokyo in their Foreign Exchange and then Investment Banking operations. He moved back to Spain in 2000 with Eurodeal and worked in fixed income broking before coming back to Frankfurt with Citibank. He heard of bridport whilst working in Germany and eventually made the Frankfurt to Geneva switch. “I’ve never lived here before, but I find it positively interesting”, he says of his new home city. He talks in particular of the mix of backgrounds and cultures, and the significance of the size of the financial community. “I’m looking forward to discovering more and I’m happy to be part of a professional and skilled team here at bridport.” Leisure time is spent with his wife and travelling with and listening to their two classical musical-trained teenage sons.

Prior to joining bridport in January 2009, Laurent was an Asset Manager at Fidulac, a Geneva-based Hedge Fund. Much of his early career had been spent at various financial institutions in Paris, where he worked for 15 years before coming to Geneva in 2005. "Joining bridport has now given me the opportunity to be a broker, to manage client relationships and to fully service customer needs. There's a great camaraderie in this company, quite different from anywhere I've been before. Alex and Thomas should be rightly proud of it." Time away from the office is 'en famille', catering to the needs of his wife and three growing children.
