During the summer, we took some time to prepare a new type of publication for our clients: a practical white paper on Hybrid Capital. AT1, RT1 and corporate hybrid securities can offer attractive income and access to high-quality issuers, but their structure, call features and loss-absorption mechanisms make them more complex than traditional bonds. Our objective was therefore to provide a clear and practical framework to understand how these instruments work, where the main risks lie and how they can be used within a fixed-income portfolio.
